First Official Week

This week has been full of amazing stuff. The whole University got together in the main court (Ohana Court) for "Aloha night". Where we were celebrating all the nations that had come to for this quarter. Just over 40 different nationalities, I think, Which is crazy! Anyway....I represented England along with James and a girl from Newcastle. We basically had to wave a big old england flag and a Union jack. But it was really cool to be standing next to people from so many different places. A nice experience.

The teaching started this Monday. Jeff and a Lady called Kari (I think!) are speaking this week. we've basically been learning about the different spheres of society and how God can use people within those spheres. And about his passion for our passions, and how God can be glorified with out passions/talents. The verse we're focusing on this week (and maybe during the whole course, I'm not sure) is Phil 2:5. "In your lives, you must think and act like Christ Jesus". I'm really looking forward to learning more. God has been touching peoples lives in such amazing ways. Healing people from hurts from their past and also just really moving within us during times of worship. His presence is so strong. I've been struggling quite a bit with just like....mixed emotions I guess, and not seeming to be able to see where I am in my head and stuff. I don't know what it is. So, if you could pray that God would give me some kind of clarity with that, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks for all of your support guys. I appreciate it so much.
I'm also learning bits of Korean! My room mate (Chris) is teaching me. I'm picking it up surprisingly quickly. Basics I mean. I can say. Hello, thankyou, what is this?, you're pretty, hey children! and thats about it at the moment. I'm really enjoying it though.

One more thing i learned. "Humuhumunukunukuapuaa" Is the Hawaiin state fish!
Take Care Everyone.

Hi Danny
So disappointed not to be in when you phoned.
It sounds great where you are.
What a God-incident to be sharing with a Korean. Is he from south.
We are busy looking for a smaller place here in preparation for moving on next year.
Hope the studies are going well.
Grandad sends his love,
Every blessing,
